These 25 strategies include expanding renewable energy, boosting energy efficiency, promoting cleaner cooking methods, advancing electric vehicles, and imposing stricter vehicle emissions standards. Additional efforts address methane emissions, routine venting and flaring, fertilizer usage, livestock management, rice cultivation, and crop residue burning. The report also highlights waste management and the reduction of hydrofluorocarbons as critical steps. Outdoor pollution also contributed to 5.5 million new cases of childhood asthma and 2 million new dementia diagnoses in the same year. According to the study, comprehensive implementation could prevent 144 million premature deaths related to air pollution by 2050.
